Biography
Shahrzad Mahmoudi is an Iranian American artist born in Hartford, CT on May 2, 1989. At age of five, she showed her interest in art and painting , at time at which she was living in the Iranian city of Gilan province (Caspian Sea) with beautiful views of citrus orchards, rice fields, green hills and tea plants. She was attracted by the beauty of nature and started to put her feeling on canvas. Then after five years she moved to Tehran where she had more chances to classes in 2002. Shahrzad moved to Kerman (in the southeast of Iran) where, encouraged by her teachers, she started to paint in the Persian miniature style.
Shahrzad, now a student at the University of Washington Bothell, is currently continuing to practice in the miniature and other genres of painting.

Shahrzad Mahmoudi �Sheri� of Bothell High School was nominated by her teacher, Cindra Avery, to receive the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month award.
